I read an article that said they found out who did it. She is under police protection now.

She committed no crime..and I bet they end up charging the dude that setup the cameras.. ;)

Wouldn't there be a cruelty to an animal charge? Here in Buffalo some weirdo was arrested after he was pulled over, and the cop heard meowing inside the trunk. The cop opened the trunk and found a cat marinating in a "tasty" liquid. They arrested the guy for cruelty as they said he was planning to eat the cat. It was big news around here last week. http://www.wgrz.com/video/default.aspx?bct...at/507145281001

Defenseless? You ain't ever seen an angry cat have you? ;)

But I agree with your sentiment. The cat wasn't doing anything.

Cats are usually squeamish towards total strangers. I can't help but wonder if the cat knew her.

Killing an animal for food is completely different than throwing an animal in the garbage.

Animals kill each other all the time for food. As cruel as that may sound, it's a perfectly natural part of nature.

You know, I can't help but wonder, if in some strange way, she thought she was helping the cat. You know, put it in the can so that it wouldn't get run over.

Just a weird thought that crossed my mind....I guess because she was so nice to it before....petting it and all. Most people would have just kept walking if they don't like cats.

I would feel the same way if she threw some little kid in the trash. Fact of the matter is, she threw an animal that did nothing to her, in the trash. It could have died.

There was no reason for her behavior.

I think, for me, is that if you'll do this pointless, heartless, cruel thing, what else will you do when you think no one is looking?

Have a feeling that she'd treat her fellow man just as badly, if not worse, if she could get away with it.

How we treat those smaller and weaker than ourselves is a pretty good indication of our (lack of) character.

imho.
