Most people can get midland (MCM) off their reports fairly easily.

I'm looking for people who are having trouble AND MCM is reporting more like an OC rather than a CA.

I have an idea.... and it has to do with the OSBC for KS.

Please enlighten me Jen! Midland is reporting on EQ as open, factoring & installment. Who is the OSBC for KS. I want them off like asap!

Thanks,

I think you are genius, m'dear. Truly genius!

I am helping build a paper trail on the military credit forum for a member trying to get their security clearance and MCM is dicking with them. This may need to be their next step, as much is at stake for this person to keep their security clearance.

Some day I am going to treat you to dinner. You amaze me with all the help you give to others here, including me. :(

This is a clear indicator that Midland was running amok. Take a look at the stats from part of the AG's investigation of Midland filing for summary judgments on TIME BARRED DEBTS:

10. The Agency's investigation also revealed that, beginning in 2004 and continuing through the present time, Respondent Midland Funding, by and through the collection activities of Encore, Midland Portfolio, and the individual Respondents, has attempted to collect on consumer claims by filing over 10,270 actions in State Courts throughout Maryland; no such actions were filed by Midland Funding prior to 2004.

a. The breakdown of actions filed by year is as follows:

1 in 2004

1 in 2005

9 in 2006

174 in 2007

4,839 in 2008

and 5,246 to date in 2009 (through September 11th)

So, folks...you can see a pattern here, right?

Jenn - remember while they may be a KS company they still have a location in San Diego which means you can use the california law as they are an operating business here

I will (since I am finally completely done with them) be posting my experience and my steps to get them off both mine and DH's ... I have sent a few here my letters in the past and I believe it worked for them as well... I have a horrible memory right now...

Anyway - just wanted you to keep that in the back of your mind ... smooches....

I myself, and one other poster, Odessa Dan is fighting MCM's reporting violations right now. I hope you will share some insight from your experience with us! This is such a monumental fight with these guys, I just cannot imagine going thru it alone.

Thankfully, DragonFlyer responded to my call for help. Without her guidance, I would not even be as far as I am. But I still have a long way to go. I am the one who is in jeopardy of losing my security clearance because of these people being on my report and reporting in such a way that it appears I am ignoring the debt. A no-no for a fed.

What she has works, Trust me. MCM gave me the big middle finger, Till Clambert helped me. They got 1 letter and they were gone.
