If you have been actively engaged in your own credit repair for at least two months, please answer the following poll question and then attach any testimonials you are willing to release into the public domain regarding this tactic.

(NOTE: This particular question references CREDIT IMPROVEMENT generally instead of solely credit repair per se, since third-parties like PFB -- PlanetFeedback.com -- are often used to improve credit terms, etc., rather than only to effect an improved credit rating.)

Thanks!

I've used PFB to get CL increases from Cap One.

Just used it to get reconsideration for my Platinum Select UPromise card from Citibank. Got no response, just the card in the mail :)

I've never *not* gotten a response from the letters that I've written using PFB, even it wasn't the response I wanted.

I have used PFB several times for "improvement" rather than repair with mixed results. In most cases, I have gotten a response and it has been positive. However, in a few cases, I never received a response and had to elevate my attempts to improve the situation.

I am a big fan of the BBB complaint system. I have had several successes with CAs when using the BBB. If I can't find resolution that way I go to the ACA and they have been able to get things done MOST TIMES.

Just recently I received a deletion letter from Paragon Way and from GEMB/Dillards on old accounts due to BBB complaints. I have several more pending right now for incorrect information being reported.

I have tried PFB about 5 times. Two times I got no response, and three of the times my letter would not go through to the company. I emailed PFB's customer service and got no response from them to see why my letters did not go through, or if I needed to do anything else. ;)

I have tried BBB for another matter (not for credit repair) and did have success with that.

There are many, many avenue's to complain.

There is the BBB, your AG, their AG, FTC, ACA, the underwriter for their bond (if this applies),

major stockholders in their company(good one actually), and owners or CEO's of their company.

And if they are total jerks, I just file all the complaints at once--hit them from all sides.

Make them believe that you are an educated lunatic on a mission to annoy the hell out of them until they roll over in submission to you. You want to do whatever you can to make them delete so that they never ever ever want to hear your name again.

I had success with one CA using BBB. Working on another right now and not having much success. Haven't tried PFB yet -- will check it out. Only AG I've tried hasn't worked.

I love the way that you think! I know of someone that did this for medical insurance purposes and got results in DAYS, writing letters works well!

What does PFB mean? and by BBB you mean the Better Business Bureau?

It appears that the PFB site has been shutdown. Does any one have information about this?

This is a very old thread.  I barely remember that site.

If you start a new thread and describe what you need to accomplish, the good people here will be happy to steer you.
