Information from NADA Title & Registration Textbook 2004

Nebraska Lemon Law

(Beginning with 1984 year models sold in Nebraska) – If a manufacturer or dealer fails to conform vehicle to warranty after a reasonable number of attempts (vehicle has been returned four or more times for the same defect or is out-of-service by reason of repair for a cumulative total of forty or more days), the consumer may resort to an arbitration procedure certified by the Department of Motor Vehicles. The consumer must first notify the manufacturer in writing by certified mail. Court action may then be taken. For additional information please contact the Office of the Attorney General, 2115 State Capitol Building, Lincoln, NE 68509
