The last time I received a CLI, within less than 60 days of the previous CLI, was March 11th and then April 12th.

Since then I have been denied.

I am stuck at $14,500

My wife is stuck at $34,100 (denied every time since November 2016 with 780+ FICO scores)

The excuse is always, "No enough experience at current credit limit".

Each of my "declined" CLI's state that the reason is due to insufficient experience with current Credit Limit - which I've had since February. My guess is they're shifting to a 180 day rule for the luv button. A call to the underwriter may give different results.

Let us know how the call goes.

I spoke with a csr. And I plan to try again a couple more times to check for consistent replies.

They said that there were no major changes in policy in the past 6 months - that she knew about. Blah, blah, blah. She did say that there was a 90 day restriction on CLI's for new accounts, but other than that, she suggested that denials could be income based, but that the reasons would never state that, as well as "a host of other possible reasons" for someone with a high score to be declined.

No 90 day love for me either. I was beginning to wonder if I was not counting to 90 correctly. Stuck at $12,700 for now.  :blush2:

Doesn't matter how you count it ... because it ain't 90 days anymore. And not 180 either.

Would we really be that surprised if they went to 365-day $500 CLIs?

What would be nice is if Puddy Kat would get off her cute little furry behind and open up the CLI gates. ;)

Would we chalk that one up to the CB Effect?

As much as I'd like to say we could, I'm afraid Hoover beat us to the prey.

Two months in a row, I got costco gc from costco.com and I was credited 5% for those transactions. In fact, I bought some tools from Harbor Freight and they credited 5% for those transaction, but when I returned half of them, they debited only 1% out of the Cash back.

Interesting...
