A few years ago this board was invaluable to me for credit repair .
Hopefully you can help me help a family member.
She filed for bankruptcy 2 years ago and it was discharged and closed.
Unfortunately with EQ and TU (EX is reporting correctly) none of the discharged debts are reporting correctly .
Helped her with the disputes and after 2 rounds they still aren't reporting correctly . She has disputed twice and they "updated" to report more incorrect information (showing an account as a charge off or sold to another agency -neither happened, showing dollar amounts and payment histories thathe aren't correct etc).
After two rounds they are not budging.
The lawfirm I used appears to be closed (Weisberg and Myers) and the attorneys she reached out to either haven't responded or wrongly said there's no case (she is also being harassed by a discharged creditor ,they send her at least 2 letters a month trying to negotiate a payoff ).
Cam anyone advise where to go from here or reconmend a law firm? We are in Florida.

If the attorney who handled the case is now washing his/her hands of it, you might contact the Florida BAR.

Just dispute it. Do not send the CRA's any of the bk documentation unless she doesn't care about disputing the bk off later. Once they have the documentation, the bk will be super-glued to her reports no matter what.
