I just sent out a DV CMRR to NCO Financial 55 which has a the following address listed on my reports:

PO Box 13570

Philadelphia, PA 19101

It came back as return to sender

not deliverable as addressed

unable to forward

This was placed on my reports October 5th. No dunning notice sent. I sent a DV 10/17. It was returned today.

Is placing a wrong address a violation? Does anyone have the correct address?

Thanks,

Have you disputed the debt with the Cra's? You can use this to your advantage.

You can foward the copies of the envelope with your dispute, however with Equifax, all I did when I disputed, i simply said "tried to send letter to Nco but came back undeliverable, and they deleted it without further question. I know others have included a copy to be on the safe side, I never did.

Copy this and and send it to the CRA and point out that they could not have verified this tradeline with this information.

My suggestion is to do this:

1) Keep that letter intact, this is a good keepsake in case this goes to court someday

2) make a copies of front/back of the letter - proceed to dispute the address with the CRA in question - ask for deletion since data furnisher has provided bad contact information preventing you from asserting your rights under FCRA to dispute this item in a timely manner directly with the data furnisher. mail this CMRRR

3) send a carbon copy (cc) of that dispute to "NCO" address shown on BBB report, mailed CMRRR. In this letter tell them you dispute this item, you are aware that they kept you from contacting them and will escalate this issue to the State's AG if they do not delete immediately.

Bumping this super old thread.

My fiance is in the same exact situation. Sent 2 DV's to the address that the OP posted, as that is the address listed with Experian. Both DV's were returned as Return To Sender, Unable to Forward.

I now realize from the thread that they shouldn't have been sent there, but how were we supposed to know? I used what was supplied to us. After further research, they have three different addresses listed, a totally different address with each CRA.

Any further thoughts, aside from blowing more money to resend to the other address?

What is everyone opinion on which CRA's to dispute it with? That address came from Experian. At the time, due to "security issues", we were only able to obtain her Experian report. We had to send off for TU and EQ.

TU's address for NCO is;

NCO Financial Systems

507 Prudential Road

Horsham, PA 19044

And EQ's;

NCO FIN/55

PO BOX 15270

Wilmington, DE 19850

I would fully expect TU to tell me to pound salt, since the address on their file is where it is apparently supposed to go. I could see EQ doing the same, since I didn't actually send it to that address (though I suspect that would have resulted in Return to Sender as well).

Further complicating the matter, all 4 collections from NCO have at minimum 1 year left before SOL runs out, so even if I do dispute them and the CRA's remove them, I'm sure NCO will have them resubmitted in no time and as far as I understand it, they are completely entitled to do so since it is still within the SOL.

My buddy had some stuff with NCO and he said he sent a DV and they folded quickly, but I believe he was outside of SOL. I'm going to cross post this in medical to see if anyone has any further advise on our debts.
