Okay, so I've had a Juniper acct. (just the plain one) for about a year and a half. Always pay on time, etc. but it must be one of their subprime cards 'cause I can never get anyone on the phone.

So I've cleaned up my reports and everything is looking good and I applied for their SeaMiles card and get the 7-10 day. So I wait and wait and every couple of days check the myapplicationstatus.com page and then wait some more.

Today I get an email from them telling me to go to BarclaycardUS.com and check on the status. I get there and have to pick a picture, then five questions, etc. and the whole time I'm thinking 'yes' I got it (why else would I have to register, right?).

After all this, it takes me to the regular Juniper page where I've been paying my acct. all along--the same blank card I've had for 18 months. Nothing else there.

Back to myapplicationstatus.com and they denied me! Sufficient credit w/Juniper.

I'm so pi$$ed at them right now. Couldn't they have just denied me without making me jump through hoops to find out???

End rant.

Junny junny junny.

There are right there with Cap 1. MAYBE slightly better but still down there.

I THINK it is worse when you have just the plain Junny card like the OP and I have.

I kinda figured all that out, but still, sending me an email telling me to login, etc.

I just thought it was kinda low, but I'm over it now (sorta, the wine helps  )

I have a Visa Signature with an almost $23k CL on it and have been very happy with the card and customer service. They were the first one to give me a decent limit on a personal card.

Just wait till they decrease it to 500 bucks and then tell me how you feel.

Okay.

They'd better have cause to decrease my pretty limit.

The only reason they would decrease is if I'm at the limit of all my other cards, and that ain't gonna happen. I'm brand new!

Most cc companies are going to the BofA sitekey process. It's a new standard thats sweeping the industry. Many of my cards now do this.

I still have never seen any "sitekey" image/title functionality on my BOFA account. All I ever have to do is enter my username/password. No teddy bears, camels, frogs.. nothing. :dntknw:

Yeh, ING Direct is on the bandwagon, as well. Except they decided to "raise the bar" by having that random, alpha-numberic, keypad, PIN entry...which does not play nice with my Yodlee account :aggressive: .

...I can't wait until thumb-readers come standard on keyboards...

The more sites get sitekeys, the more motivated Roboform and Yodlee will be to find smoother ways to get past them.

I don't use Yodlee right now, and am not sure what procedures it has for working around site keys. For Roboform, you just have to wait very briefly for it to get to the sitekey, then do one extra click to get past it. Plus the very slight inconvenience of having one extra item on the passcard menu, which could make the menu twice as big if all sites had sitekeys.

When I finally did receive a letter about my $6K decrease the reason stated was and I quote.

Too many inquiries in the last 12 months.

That was 6 on TU.

Best of luck to you on your card and their service.

Yodlee has no problem with my BOFA SiteKey, but I think it's ING random letter-generator that trips it up (as well as Roboform)...You're presented with a keypad (like a phone) but the letters that correspond to the numbers change everytime. One time "5" might pair up with "W", the next time, it pairs up with "F". So it makes saving a specific PIN to use all the time impossible...But, yes, I'm sure a work-around will be found.

SIX!?!?! Do you have access to the two other reports from the CRA's? How close together were the 6 you speak of on TU?

I had to jump through all those hoops to - but as Marv and ICD said, its just a new secure login procedure. Probably didn't really have anything to do with your second application.

Juny has always been good to me, but sorry you got denied for a 2nd card :P
