do they accept all denominations (pun intended)?

Christian Community Credit Union provides financial services to individual members of the Christian community.

One way individuals can join Christian Community Credit Union is by affirming the following personal Statement of Faith:

• God loves us and created us to know Him. He has a wonderful

plan for our lives.

• People are sinful and separated from God, so we cannot know

Him or experience His love and plan.

• Jesus Christ is God’s only provision for our sin. Through Him

alone we can know God and experience His love and plan.

• I have received Jesus Christ as my Savior and Lord.

Credit Union membership is also open to relatives of Christian Community Credit Union members:

• Spouse

• Father, Mother/In-law

• Brother, Sister/In-law

• Son, Daughter/In-law

• Grandparent/Grandchild

• unt/Uncle

• Niece/Nephew

• Cousin

so being an agnostic would kinda kick me to the curb..............

What does this have to do with the credit product offered by the credit union? Your post is rude and you’re trying to bait people. Act like a professional if your going to moderate a board.

Why do you consider his post rude? He's not a Christian... neither am I... since presumably neither of us have no plans to become Christians, we don't qualify for credit with this organization.

Marv I appreciate your sense of humour - I am non-denominational and non-organized religion - the EX pull and and other things in their Statement of Faith would kill it for me :clapping: ...

Thank you Kiowa and Insultcomicdog.

To be truthfull, I don't consider what I said as baiting. If I've got a problem with something, I'm not much of one to suffer in silence and just get right to the point. I don' need to bait. I just come right out and say it.

I was just trying to be a bit playfull,

oh well, can't win em all............

I wouldnt want to contribute to that in any form or fashion.

Or I could get it and only use it for online porn.

Of course, who would want to support missionary work that provides disaster relief and food and medical care to children in third world countries. People must be crazy to support such efforts!

I AM Christian, and I don't want to join. I don't want a bank and my religion mingled.

I work at a casino, they would probably have a field day with that fact. I don't want to have to worry about WHAT I purchase and WHERE I purchase it at. It's not the bank's business.

Marv, your posts were in no way offensive to me, I actually thought they were funny. Leena, you have every right to choose how your money, or your purchases, should be donated. Not wanting to support missionary work does not equate to you somehow being a bad person. It's your choice, not anyone else's.

I know plenty of "God fearing, church going, good-works doing" folks, who are dirt balls. I also know plenty who are great.

I also know plenty of people that most churches would frown upon, and yet they are the KINDEST, most loving people I know. I also know plenty who are scum.

Point being, you shouldn't be judging based upon a joke, or someone's preferences on how they choose to donate.

Thank you for contacting Christian Community Credit Union. We do use Experian. When applying for a loan or credit card, the Loan Officer will consider your FICO score and your entire credit history, income, etc.

 Its not right that one should be denied credit based on ones religion. I would not apply here as it is discrimination practice to lend money by forcing some one to use their motto to lend money and make a hefty profit; IMO it goes against our Constitution.

All credit unions have a membership policy based on a "common bond" - an employer, a community where they reside, membership in an organization, etc. Having a credit union for a particular faith is no different.

There are thousands of credit unions I'm not able to join, but I don't feel I'm being discriminated against. The ones where I meet the membership criteria I can join, the others I can't.

:D Your statement about membership policy is true, but they do not go against the Constitution, just my opinion. :clapping:
