Macadamia Nut Pie

Serves 8

There is nothing like the taste of a pie shell filled to the brim with macadamia nuts, baked until golden and then chilled, cut and served with whipped cream. No matter what you had for dinner; you can't turn this one down.

Ingredients:

3 eggs

2/3 cup granulated sugar

1-cup light corn syrup

1-1/2 to 2 cups chopped macadamia nuts

2 tablespoons melted butter

I teaspoon vanilla

1 unbaked 9-inch pie shell

Directions:

Preheat oven at 325 degrees F

Beat eggs with sugar and corn syrup and stir in the macadamia nuts. Add butter and vanilla and blend well.

Pour mixture into pie shell. Bake for 50 minutes or until the crust is golden and the center is somewhat set. Test this by shaking the pie gently. Let cool and chill.

It has been six months since I got rid of my television.  I was very hard to do but I feel like I have so much free time now  :)

I cut off my tv about a year ago. I don't miss it at all! The only downfall is that when my DH and I eat out, we get stuck staring at the restaurant TV's to get caught up on all the "new" commercials!

This happens to me too. I get distracted when I'm near a tv now and end up staring for awhile until I catch myself. I still go out to the local bar with friends to watch Red Sox games though.

Don't be like the ones whose effect was so great that it lasted for days. You don't want to wear yourself out by being the oversexed Energizer bunny sex machine.
