I have a collection account with MJ Altman Companies in Florida. I have sent them a pay for delete letter with no response. Has anyone dealt with them before and if so what was your experience?

Make it easy on yourself. Dispute with the CRA as not mine, after you have deleted your old addresses and OPTED OUT.

I have dealt with them. :cry2:

Very difficult to deal with, 9/10 they will ignore you. They continue to verify w/CRAs w/out ever validating.

You have to get legal with them. :)

They are stuck like friggin glue on my CRs...I've DV'd and disputed several times...no response. I reckon an ITS is in order w/a copy of a complaint attached. OP - is this a medical bill? If so, search for Enigma's post about hospitals not being allowed to outsource billing and CAs not being allowed to have bills/info without a specific authorization. FL law overrides HIPAA law.

There offices are a few miles from me. Had them at one time on DW report. They folded like a stack of cards when I drove down there and served them with ITS and FDCPA violations. Took about 3 weeks but they came off.

Gotta love that! Nothing like be served IN PERSON to put the fear of God into CAs.

I too have them stuck as well...time for DV#2 then ITS it would appear.

Got most of them to disappear, but a couple are still sticking like glue... BBB complaint already filed, with AG's complaint ready to go and lawsuit being drawn up now. I look to conclude this by year's end by the latest.

So what ever happened with them? Did you get them straightened out? I believe they moved around the corner from where they were at. A bank bought the offices they were in. Ha Ha Nothing like being a scum bag CA and having a bank buy your building out.
