The credit gatekeepers have spoken, $300k is my official ceiling. They lowered my care credit MasterCard from $15,000 to $6,000 and now it's up to $9,000. I probably have more than $45,000 total credit with Synchrony Bank. They just increased my Amazon store card to $10,000. I started out at $300 three years ago. Allkindabroke 1 Quote
supern8ural Posted July 31 Posted July 31 Man, I had to go all the way back to the 2024 thread to find when the last time I got a CLI from Discover was... Opened 7/29/2023 for $2k Approved 2/15/2024 for $5k Approved 8/30/2024 for $8k Approved 12/1/2024 for $10k aaaaand drum roll please, finally busted out of the monthly rejection cycle and got approved 7/31/2026 for $12k! OK, that's not great but it's something. I'm assuming it's because my FICO scores have never been higher, I finally got all three FICO 8s above 800 within the past couple weeks. don't tell them I probably won't use it at all for the next three months... ShawnPY1972 Posted August 3 Posted August 3 I was very surprised when I logged into my Bank of America account this morning and saw that I had an offer to request a credit line increase. At first, I wasn't even going to click on it because I had just received an increase within the last six months, and that one wasn't easy to get. I actually had to write to the President's Office and ask for their assistance before it was approved. Because of that experience, I assumed another request would be denied. After thinking about it for a few minutes, I decided I had nothing to lose by trying. Instead of asking for a large increase, I made a conservative request for an additional $3,000—and it was approved instantly. I'm not sure what Bank of America considers to be too large of an increase, so I decided to play it safe. Next time, I may try requesting a $4,000 increase instead. I've had this account for about two and a half years. It originally started as a secured card with a $1,000 credit limit. For whatever reason, the account wasn't automatically converted to an unsecured card after 12 months, and once again I had to contact the President's Office for assistance. They ultimately helped me get the account unsecured. I pay the balance in full every month and typically charge between $600 and $1,000 monthly. It's nice to see that Bank of America is now recognizing my responsible payment history. Kat58 1 Quote
ShawnPY1972 Posted August 7 Posted August 7 (edited) I have a Bread Rewards American Express Card now for 18 months. I started out with a $4,100 credit limit and in February they increased me to $5,600. I pressed the love button today and they increased me to $7,100. I pay my account in full every month and I usually charge about $1,000 a month on my card. They sure are stingy! My cli was a soft pull. Over the course of that 18 months I've racked up 21,000 points and sadly that only amounts to $210. I have a couple of accounts with Comenity Bank. It's been slightly less than 6 months since my last increase. Edited August 7 by ShawnPY1972 Quote
