hegemony Posted January 9 Posted January 9 I've been holding onto my apple card hoping chase would buy the portfolio as it hopefully provides an opportunity to combo that limit onto a more useful card. Has anyone seen anything suggesting chase will or will not integrate the apple card to its existing platform? TIA Quote
chicagorich Posted January 10 Posted January 10 Isn't the transition two years from now? Seems like a long time. Quote
MP80 Posted January 10 Posted January 10 JPMorgan Chase will reallocate credit limits, and cardholders are aware of this and have approved the transfer of the limits to their primary core cards to core cards. Whether they are willing to transfer the credit limit from their legacy cards to co-branded cards, vice versa, is something I'm not yet sure about; you need to ask those who hold co-branded cards like @TheVig. Recently, JPMorgan Chase sent messages to some cardholders informing them that their credit limits would be reduced in the future if their spending patterns remained unchanged, reflecting a policy adjustment similar to Capital One's. This approach is unwise and amounts to putting all your eggs in one basket. For example, if JPMorgan Chase reduces your credit limit from $70,000 to $35,000, that would be a disaster. Quote
TheVig Posted January 10 Posted January 10 I have done any reallocations of limits with anyone in a long time. So I don't have any recent data points. MP80 1 Quote
chicagorich Posted January 11 Posted January 11 I am/was on the Chase B/L since I IIB'd them in 2007. In the interim, they inherited my Airtran Visa which got converted to the Southwest Visa, which Chase never made a move to close, although I closed it several years ago as I don't use Southwest. I'm assuming they won't hassle me about my Apple card, but we'll see. hegemony 1 Quote
8ball Posted January 11 Posted January 11 I'm on Chases Sh#t list since 2017. I IIB'd them for close to $100,000 so it will be interesting to see if they do anything with my Apple Card. My wife has the Amazon Chase card and they haven't bothered her. hegemony 1 Quote
