Navy Federal is discontinuing the use of Navy Federal credit cards for prepaid top-ups. As a result, only Navy Federal debit cards are allowed to fund the Navy Federal prepaid card.

 

Unsurprisingly, many users used these prepaid cards for cash advances without incurring any fees, quickly maxing out their Navy Federal credit cards within a month or two, and rapidly disappear. 

 

This is a depressing blow to all responsible Navy Federal members. Many netizens had heavily promoted the prepaid card program on YouTube, helping members learn how to apply for and use the card for financial planning. Unfortunately, in the context of an economic downturn, this program has become an indispensable "disaster" in people's daily lives, plus Navy Federal is taking significant losses.

 

The Navy Federal prepaid card, intended as a last resort for emergency funds, has been suddenly barred from credit card top-up. Just as Navy Federal followed PenFed's lead in reducing cash advance limits from 100% to 20% of the credit limit, although Navy Federal's limit of 30% is slightly better...
