Peter Luger Steakhouse - I don't know why I want their credit card.

I just found out this restaurant issues their own credit card. It must be paid in full each month. I'm unaware of another restaurant with their own card. Their New York locations don't take other credit cards, but they do take U.S. debit cards.

 

I'm thinking of printing and mailing in the application. A novelty card. I doubt it reports to the credit bureaus unless you decide not to pay for your steak dinner.

 

My idea of fine dining is when McDonald's has McRib. Actually, I'm thinking of going to House of Prime Rib in San Francisco, but that needs to wait a few weeks until I'm done with some dental work. Nice choppers are a must for that.

Yep. It's well known amongst steak gurus, that they only take cash or debit cards issued by banks located in the U.S. I don't mind their steaks, but I'm too much of a points and miles HO to waste my time with them. Next time you are in NYC, give Keens Steakhouse a try. They gladly take plastic.

 

Btw.............McDonald's near my domicile currently has McRib.

The last time I was in NYC was just before the pandemic. Next time I go it's steakhouse time.

 

Dental work should be complete on December 13th. I'm thinking of a short trip up to S.F. -- House of Prime Rib.

 

McRib is coming back for the holidays in my part of the world (L.A.). I'll need to make my annual pilgrimage.
