Denied Amex

Has anyone had an issue applying for the Amex platinum card with high utilization on the business cards?? I was recently denied even though my personal credit is 740, utilization is less than 12%.  I am an Amazon seller and a big part of my business is spending heavily, the card that has a high utilization has a 0% interest so it makes little sense for me to pay off right now. Any ideas or suggestions is greatly appreciated, thanks.

Did Amex give you any reasons for the decline?  You might call them for reconsideration.

You applied for the Platinum card which has higher qualification requirements.  Basically you are setting your expectations too high.  Wait 30 days and reapply for the Green card and I am sure you will probably be approved.

Is that "sure you will probably be approved" 30 days from now or 30 days from 395 days ago?
