(This didn't get an answer when I posted in the General Discussion forum, but... anyone out there have any experience doing that thing where you buy from an out-of-state dealership?  A lot of listings include the price for "Delivery to [ZIP code]" but I scratch my head at buying a used car w/o checking it out in person first. Still, this particular listing is quite attractive.)

(I really wouldn't have expected a vehicle so SUV-y to have that kind of fuel efficiency.)

(There's a lot about this listing that I wouldn't have expected to see, hence my seeking a reality check  : /  )

price seems low because it isn't AWD and it is 10 years old as well as it can be hard to find a lender to secure a loan with over 100k and >10 years.

I've bought several cars without seeing them in person but they were all "classic" cars of the make/model/trim I am very familiar. I would think you could find a comparably FWD small SUV in your area that you can review in person rather than risk it on this one.

Just scored approval for a BofA car loan - I think my locked-in-for-30-days rate is 7.69%.  Meh.

They will finance a vehicle with >100K miles as long as it's less than 125K.  (Chase says 120K max; Old National will go to 150K with no age-of-vehicle restrictions.)

It strikes me as odd that among major lenders in this area, BofA is the only one that will take a car loan app online.  Old National, BMO, and Associated are all call-or-come-in.  And that makes me wonder,  where's the CB hive mind at with regard to applying by phone - uttering your social security number out loud?  Obvs my web browser is encrypted but I do not think our voices are.

I'll be oot and aboot doing errands Friday afternoon anyway so I could stop in to those branches, I suppose, but silly to do that if app'ing over the phone is OK.  (BMO is right down the streeet from Old National in Wayzata; like walking distance I'm talking about over here.  Associated is tougher to find; however, their logo is all nice and green and tree-y.)
