tps7c
Hi Everyone! I have one last bad account, unfortunately a repo, that is still on my Experian and Equifax reports. Before Experian changed their report format, at some point last year the repo account said "on report until April 2023." Well, it's April and it's still showing. Could it be until the END of April? Would it be worth calling Experian's backdoor number and asking about it? Maybe sweet talking them to delete it early? lol What do you guys think? In comparison, this account was scheduled to drop off my Transunion report in January and was gone in December. Equifax is the worst and it show dropping from the report in July. Thanks guys! shifter
Dispute online. Yes, it's end of April, but if you dispute early they will delete. MarvBear
tps7c
Thanks Shifter, but I forgot to mention one thing. The bank sued me for the the difference between what I owed and what they sold it for at auction, and got a judgement against me. For some reason, they never tried to collect the judgement. I'm afraid of "waking the bear" if I dispute this. What do you think? Am I being paranoid? Thanks!

If you can extend your patience for ~ days, then you won't have to worry about triggering the bear as you say. Is this judgement on any of your credit file(s)? tps7c
Hi Marv! No, the judgement is not on any of my credit files; it never was for some reason. I lucked out with this one, so maybe it's best to just let it drop off when it's scheduled to. MarvBear

Why Chat
I completely agree with the advice to "let sleeping dogs lie" -- HOWEVER-- There has been a recent increase in pseudo legal collection activities by scum scam CAs who file as a "party" on obsolete judgement cases. The way to avoid this and any other future problems is to OPT OUT-- this will prevent your account data being sold to data miners if and when you start looking for a mortgage or car loan. https://whychat.me/GUIDEBOOK.html You should also examine your reports carefully for anything that needs correcting or removal such as old addresses or alternate spelling of your name. hegemony, MarvBear and tps7c 2
dysonrichard801
It's understandable that you're eager to get the bad account off of your credit reports. While it's possible that the account could be scheduled to drop off at the end of April, it's also possible that there may have been a mistake or delay in the reporting process. It may be worth calling Experian's backdoor number and asking about the status of the account. When you call, be polite and professional, and explain that you're trying to get a better understanding of when the account will be removed from your report. You could also ask if there's any possibility of having it removed early, but keep in mind that this may not be possible. In any case, it's important to continue monitoring your credit reports regularly and to dispute any errors or inaccuracies as soon as possible. Good luck! tps7c

RehabbingANDBlabbing
Can anyone tell me where the scheduled fall of date is on an Equifax report? I don't think I have ever noticed on the online version or the paper version. Do you just have to do the math?

Potentially, but I'm a little slower to pass judgment The "compose elsewhere and paste" posts give rise to some question, but this member starts new threads with original content in the same manner. I think it best to simply advise the member that, to the extent that post content doesn't originate with them, it's necessary to include attribution to the source. Senko
The judgments are not included in credit reports any longer, that's why it didn't show up on any of yours. Anyways, congrats and enjoy new credit score.
