I just disputed 6 items on my TU report that were due to fall off this year... all 6 were deleted before I even flipped over to my email program! Curious to see what (if any) impact this will have on my TU scores when I pull them next. Did you delete these online or via the app or snail mail? As mentioned at the time it was deleted instantly and remains so. Just use any reason. Probably a fluke but who knows.

I don't recommend that until you look at your paper reports and the date that it will be removed. 6 months inside that date you can dispute and it will be deleted. In many cases TU will show that date at 7 years even for PR's that should stay for 10 years. However, if the PR has the proper 10-year date, disputing obsolete online will not do any good and other methods of removal should be employed. Honestly forgot the reason but it wasn’t obsolete. Mine was 7 years and one month at the time, figured nothing to lose.
FoxSamual
Update on this, I disputed my Chapter 7 PR on TU. It was due for automatic deletion in 5 months (8/23) and was deleted before I could switch browser tabs to Gmail to see the e-mail confirmation of my dispute. Anxious to see what change this makes to my FICO 9 when I get an updated one in a few weeks. Thanks for sharing this. hegemony and shifter

I'll happily pay a few hundred bucks for a nice meal out but I won't pay a $2 ATM fee or fork over money to Fair Issac. 🤣 Disco gives me a free FICO 9 on Transunion so just a matter of waiting for that to pop, prolly mid to late April. I won't be doing any new apps until fall anyways. Edited to add: 3/17 FICO 9 was 747 if anyone wants to start a pool on the post-PR score, lol. Utilization may skew it, I had a crazy pile of work expenses (almost 30k) that pushed my utilization over 60% last month, those will be PIF before next update and unless there's another batch I won't be able to keep utilization in that range for a "clean" comparison on the PR removal. You sure that's not a FICO 8? I know their credit card accounts provide a monthly TU FICO 8. Not sure what they do for their "checking" accounts. That's what I get for writing a message on my cell phone. Too late to edit the original post so I guess the typo gets to stand.
