$10000 DCU Platinum card preapproval (I said yes!)

Is your pre-approval offered available in a yellow tab similar to the screenshots?

Approved with a $9,000 starting limit. It's been 5 years since BK so I was happy with this.

Oh wow! BK reporting? GS may be loose, you see, Goldman is pulling around to inquire about your creditworthiness, combining reports from 5 to 6 bureaus.

I think it's TransUnion as a primary entity that's pulling all the combined bureaus, but you need to check them individually.

(TransUnion, Sagestream, Innovis, CoreLogic, ChexSystems, and perhaps Lexis Nexis)

Amex Blue Business Plus 15,000 MR for $3k spend.

Earns 2x MR on everything for the first $50,000 every year, then 1x MR after that.

$10,000 CL. Instant approval. No theft of existing card limits.

WTG! Building business credit is a very different approach than building personal credit.

May I ask what type of structure code? Sole Prop, LLC or S-Corp.  Are you willing to pledge as a PG?

American Express is your best starting point for choosing the type of curated product that fits your business needs. Of course, Chase was next to apply.

Sole proprietorship is what I used. Amex only requires a SS# when applying for a business credit card as a sole proprietorship. Other types require an EIN.

Then there is their corporate products, which is different from their business products. Those cards are a different process that may require alien abduction and anal probes into your finances.

In short, you really don’t need a business to get a business credit card.

As far as building personal or business credit. For me that wasn’t the goal. I just wanted a flat 2x MR earning card for non-category spend that had no AF. Gold and BBP will be my MR earning one two punch. Kinda like my Citi TYP setup. Premier/DC.

Because of my existing relationship with Amex, the app was a SP

When the timing is right, I will add a Chase Ink to the mix.

Getting an EIN as a sole-prop is breathtakingly easy though, as far as I remember it.

Takes less than 10 on the IRS website.

SDFCU premium cash visa auto cli 45K>$49K

My letter came in the mail today, unexpected and unsolicited CLI, SDFCU premium cash back visa, $30k -> $35k!

I was surprised. This is now my highest CL (now above the $31k card at BoA). My SDFCU visa has been open 1 year. This is the first CLI there since opening, and I've never asked SDFCU for one.

Auto CLI. $4k to $10.5k.

The card is being converted to a MC sometime in March or April. This is being done automatically for card holders in good standing. At least now, I will be able to buy pencils with it instead of blinker fluid. No idea what the rewards will be.
