(Not serious) Four cards from the same issuer?

I have Sapphire Preferred, Freedom Flex, and Southwest Rapid Rewards (tho I might one day ax Chase to fold the CL from RR into my other cards so I can zotz the annual fee).

I haven't any plans to app Freedom Unlimited, but just out of curiosity, do you think they'd say no just cause I have the other three?  (Assuming otherwise gleaming creditworthiness, high income, low-to-zero util, etc...)

Similarly, I have BofA Platinum Plus Visa, Cash Rewards mastercard, y Unlimited Cash Rewards Visa.  I don’t have their Travel Rewards card (or whatever it's called).

(I admit I'm not as convinced of my disinterest in it as with the Chase card  : /   )

Same question; is it conceivable that BOA might one day (not before 2024) approve me for a fourth card?

(BofA, as best I can tell, really, reeeeeally likes me.  :) )

Have 4 open cards with each of my "big 3" (BA, Chase, Citi).

:offtopic:

BA is part of the big three? It is # 5 last I checked. Top 3 in outstanding: Chase, Amex, Citi. Top 3 in number of cards issued: Chase, Crap1, Citi.

I'm curious what three BA cards you find value in. I have one (travel rewards) and other than the 99.9k limit it is one of the most lackluster cards in my sock drawer, right up there with citi premier. I've been thinking about closing both the BA and the Citi cards.

Perhaps I'm missing something? Educate me before I do. TIA

"my" big three; not "the" big three (where "big" is descriptive of the number of open cards; nothing more).

Only BA of value right now is "Customized Cash", which I have set to "online purchases".  Online purchases tags any transaction that is conducted online, therefore, much more than just "shopping" for 3% cashback.  (3% capped to $2500 in purchases each quarter)

I have four personal cards with Chase.  It's never been a cause for concern.

Sapphire Preferred, Freedom Unlimited, Freedom Flex, Amazon Prime.

I also have nine closed cards across the last dozen years, with Chase.  Nothing got closed bad, just a bunch of Slates I was done doing the BT dance with, a Hyatt or two, an Amazon that got nicked, etc.

I understand the "serial" Slate appeal, given the no fee 0% introductory bt offer on the card.  Not the best impact on your average account age.

I hear ya.  Sitting at 7y 8m for AAoA currently.  And the Slates stopped being useful, so that...habit...stopped as well.
