TheVig
One in five Americans, a new survey says, doubts they can afford a traditional Thanksgiving meal this year. Pizza for Thanksgiving? A Credit Ed
Hey - Thanksgiving is by far my favorite holiday of the year. There's just something about it that is "purer" than any other holidiay. BUT - who decided Turkey should be the main course. We never eat it any other time of the year - maybe once in a while on a club sandwich - but for some reason this bird that doesn't taste good enough to make it to the dinner table any other day of the year becomes the have-to-cook item. I like the idea of pizza for turkey day! TheVig

Admin Pam Posted November 6, 2022 Admin Share Posted November 6, 2022 Honestly, I'd take pizza over turkey any day of the week. Some of the "only-at-Thanksgiving" must-have side dishes, though ...... may not mesh with the flavor profile of traditional red sauce/mozzarella/etc seasoning, so then maybe you need a different flavor profile for the pizza to go with the sweet potato casserole? I've just put more thought into this than I've put into Thanksgiving dinner in years. 🤣 hegemony and TheVig

Panera Bread now serves pizza but it's just cheap flatbread with some cheap stuff on top before heating it in the oven. Turkey just carved off a turkey is a treat for me. I don't have that often. I sometimes make turkey sandwiches from lunch meat sold at Vons or Target. Something to munch on at work. Not as good as the Thanksgiving stuff, but it works for me. centex

Bad Doctor Frost
No worries. They can just use that $0.12 they saved on their 4th of July Cookout last year. It's fine.
