The rent is going up at the retirement village

It's hard to get anyone to work at these facilities so they end up having to pay more to attract employees. Add in all the other rising costs it's easy to see where they need sharp increases.

This bit surprised me...

"Rent at the Paradise Village, located at 2700 East 4th Street in National City, starts at $2,800 a month for assisted living, and $3,640 a month for independent living, according to Caring.com."

 

Usually assisted living is higher than the independent living, even if the resident in independent adds in meal plans.

I saw that too. I think they have their numbers backwards.

Concur...both are lower than my grandmother was paying and she passed away four years ago.
