Theirmomma
Hi CB, i currently have the Platinum and Quicksilver cards. The Platinum was from when I was trying to establish credit because I hadn’t had any credit in over 6 years at the time. They have never increased my limit in 2 years so I’m kinda over it. i’m interested in the Venture X card. I was told and read somewhere once that you can only have 2 Cap 1 cards… is this true? Should I close the Platinum to get the Venture X or is it possible to do a product change? If it is possible to change the card over, what’s the likelihood of them upping my limit under the new Venture card considering they wouldn’t for the subprime Platinum? Thanks for any insight you can provide!
DebtFreeIn04
I have heard that before it seems like. I have 2 quicksilvers and Walmart store card that I think cap1 inherited from synchrony. Walmart hates me for the last 5+ years for cli's. QS1 15.5k QS2 3300 and Walmart stuck at 6k. All pretty much useless as my credit has improved. VintageWillow
YMMV: Their explicit rule is 2 cards, but I currently have 3 and have had as many as 4 at one time, however when I tried to get the savor card I was denied. Not sure if it was the too many cards rule or high UTI at the time. Theirmomma
Theirmomma
I’m guessing I just need to close that Platinum card and get for the Venture X 🤔 TheVig, hdporter and DebtFreeIn04
CreditKick
I have 5. A qs1, 2 qs, 2 platinum. Cls are 5, 6, 7, 10, and 10k. Cap one was one of my first when rebuilding.... they kept approving, and I kept applying. I think the 5 or 7k limit used to be 12, but was slashed due to lack of use

Aglet
What about combining products? Does Cap1 do that? If so, any notable restrictions with the process? Ag
