Credit balances: are there any credit scoring disadvantages associated with these?

For the next month or two (possibly longer), I plan to carry a slight (less than $5) credit balance (i.e. they owe me money) on one of my CC accounts.  Do the credit scoring firms view a credit balance the same as a $0 balance?  Or am I doing myself a mischief by having a credit balance of any kind?

In my quest for AZEO, I often have a negative balance.  It always shows as $0 on my credit report.  And if I don't use the credit within 60 days, they send a check.  I have a 67¢ check from Synchrony due to am Amazon credit when I switched to Discover for Q4 last year.
