Got the DH's Bank of America Visa to graduate today. It's only been open since 10/2021, so that's pretty fast (5 months). We only deposited $300 into the card. They gave him an increase to $600 at graduation without us asking. We use this card for Costco and gas and it is always paid in full. I think the biggest factor was him getting his TU report cleaned up since obtaining this card. Not bad, BofA, not bad......

FNBO rewards card 1k line. Was hoping to utilize the 0% apr intro to pay off some of my higher interest debt- especially with the interest rate hike, but $1k isn't going to help that much LOL.

Pulled EXP 677 FICO

That seems low to me. Did you try their prequalifier tool for the Evergreen/Getaway cards? It tells you the limit via soft pull. Most people are given the offer shown.

I hadn't even really intended to apply, but I got a prescreened offer for a 0% introductory APR. I am currently working on paying off debt that I acquired when I was underemployed, so FNBO wasn't even on my radar. My high UTI right now is probably the reason for the low limit.

US Bank Triple Cash biz - 3k

Citi Double Cash - 5k>6.5k

PNC Cash 6.5k>11k

FICO’s are in the 790s - almost to the 800 club!

I don’t check the thread much anymore - but still want to thank you all for the help!

Don’t know what the admins did but the pages load SO much faster then it used to! Good job!

Auto CLI from my local CU cash rewards card $11,000 ---> $12,000

Not earth shattering, but I'll take it. I haven't been getting increases until recently due to having to over utilize my cards (even the opposite with Barclays balance chasing me), but I guess some can see how diligently I have been working to pay everything off :D

Citi Best Buy Visa 14k -> 50k.

Was hoping for a soft pull CLI but since they wanted to do a hard pull figured I'd shoot my shot and ask for a 50K CL.

You've been around CB since 2005 and yet it seems it took this post for me to sit up and take notice :) .  Time to start planning that dream home theater!!

I'm curious ... what's your overall Citi exposure look like?

Citi Best Buy Visa 50k

Citi Double Cash Card 35k

Total Credit Utilization 1%.

Thanks for that info.

My question was prompted by the fact that I'm "exposure maxed" w/ Citi, with 5 "traditional" CC accounts and 3 retail accounts (which appear to factor in one's total Citi exposure cap).  Agg CL is $134K, with highest CL at $25k.  Any new account openings require that I CLD/close another account.

I'm loathe to close any Citi accounts, with ages up to 17 years.  As I get "longer in the tooth", may change that stance:  The 10 years of reporting/age contribution after closure would benefit my FICO AAoA into my 70's, when I expect my overall average AAoA will be into the 20's and can take the hit of an older account aging off.

Just sayin' that I'm a tad envious of your current "latitude" with Citi ;)

Pulled the trigger on the WF CB card Friday, instantly approved for $10k.  I was a bit surprised, lol.  In the past 2 months I've taken my BCP card from $2k to $6k, Discover from $300 to $3k and picked up the AMEX Plat card.  Not bad considering my scores where around 530 last Sept (FICO 8's are from 740 - 745 now).

People are ice skating down in hell today, because I was finally approved for the Ulta credit card through Comenity. I have applied for this stupid card like 10 times over the past few years and have been denied for stupid reasons every single time (behavioral risk score, frozen Sagestream, etc). I always thought it was ridiculous because Comenity approved people with much worse scores and files than I have.

Finally, I unfroze everything I could think of and gave it one more try. I still wasn’t instantly approved. I got a letter and had to call in to verify my identity. AND I was only approved for the store card with a $350 SL. BUT, this card had become my white whale, so I’m glad I finally was able to get it.

Is this Ulta Card pinkish? Not visible on your signature area. I am amazed when you call it your beluga. But, I recall hard to get things always precious, correct?   :D

Haha I think it’s orange. But yes, it has been the most difficult card I have ever tried to obtain, bad credit or nit. I don’t even care about the card itself anymore, I just wanted to get approved after they kept saying no. It’s not like I was asking for a Centurion card here, it’s just a store card!

Now, the future ones that may be difficult for me to get are a Chase or Citi card (probably blacklisted for a few more years, despite paying them both back), but at least the denials would make sense!

Did some Chase pruning today and got myself a new card in the process.

Had 5 CCs with Chase - FU, CSR, Hyatt, United Club and Ink Biz.  Total CLs $114k. Closed the United and Hyatt (not flying United as much, nor staying at Hyatt), move the $22.5K to my CSR...also get the $525AF refunded.

Applied for and approved for IHG Traveler for $25k (thankfully without any theft from other accounts).  140k bonus points, free night plus get 4/3 on redemptions.  Pulled EX, FICO 820s 4/24 or 2/24 depending if they only count revolvers or a store card/affirm.  Initial response on website was 7-10 days, then. got approval email 30 seconds later.

IHG has more options for where I travel for work, so should be a good fit.

Probably going to go for one other card, not sure which yet.  AmEx still hates me so I guess we'll see...

Approved for a Wells Fargo Reflect for $2500.  Normally I would be insulted, but I have an older $7500 limit VISA Signature with them, and a $25k AMEX Propel as well, so it's not a problem since they confirmed that they can and will reallocate limits around for me (need to do a big fat BT onto that Reflect).  So, gonna get home, call them with the Propel in-hand, ask for a CLI, then reallocate.

All this stemmed from Chase telling me no yuo to my Slate app, because of course I'm well beyond 5/24.  Also, the Discover BT offers were both 5%, so yeeeaaahh...noooo.

21 months will be nice, and gives me a chance to grind it down substantially. :)

I was approved for the Hilton Business AmEx today. They gave me a $3k SL, which is fine with me. I mainly got the card for the bonus and ongoing multipliers for Hilton stays. The bonus is 130k points for $3k in spend in 3 months AND a $130 statement credit for Hilton stays, which I’m about to use on my upcoming trips to Europe and Canada.
