Well 2022 has already started off strong for myself and my husband.

My Approvals:

FNBO Getaway World MC - No SUB, but $11,600 I am going to use for a 0%/12 months BT offer.

AmEx Platinum - I got the 100k MR points offer for spending $6k in 6 months. I had previously been getting denied over and over for AmEx charge cards, but this time I applied for it though the Experian website because it was matched to me. I hadn't ever seen the Platinum listed on that page, so I decided to go for it. I was instantly approved, so I think there's more to this "matching" than marketing. I was just denied for the Gold cad last month and my credit has not changed.

Trust Enjoy Travel - $2,500 credit line. I hadn't planned on applying for this card, I was just testing the waters with their pre-approval page. It comes with a 20,000 miles SUB for $1,500 spend in 90 days. It has no annual fee, but they pay for TSA Pre-check every 4 years, so not bad. Otherwise, I think this will be sockdrawered after I get the bonus. The credit line is disappointing, but it's fine for an SD card.

Husband''s Approvals:

AmEx Gold: I applied for this one before I applied for the Platinum for myself. It went pending, so I assumed it was a denial. I called them the next day and it was instantly approved over the phone. It has a 60k MR point bonus for $4k in spend in 3 months. I am so glad to finally have this card. We are going to use the crap out of it. It will be replacing our Cap1 Savor card, which has such a small limit ($1,200) that it is extremely annoying to manage when it comes to dining and groceries because we spend a lot on these two categories throughout the month. We are constantly making payments and they refuse to raise the limit more than $100 every 6 months. I think the 4X MR points will have a better value anyway than 3% cash back. So between the Gold and Platinum, we are firmly in the MR points ecosystem now.

AmEx Hilton Surpass: We got this one sometime earlier in January for the 180,000 point SUB. We also needed a hotel card, but it remains to be seen if the Hilton program will be worth sticking to in the long run. We may keep it a year then downgrade to the free version. Especially now that I have the Platinum, which also gives Hilton Gold status. There may be an upgrade offer to the Aspire, which would be welcome, so it is up in the air. I thought the Surpass gave a free annual night certificate, but it does not, unless you spend $15k.

I am particularly happy with my husband's approvals. The score AmEx cited for both of these approvals was 628, which is not bad. He still has 6 negative items on his Experian, 2 of which are unpaid. They are old now, so his score is steadily going up. We also paid off most of his credit cards he owed on this month, so he should be seeing a nice bump soon. I am also stunned that I finally got the Platinum, because they had been denying me for that card or the Gold for nearly 2 years straight. I still can't get a CLI on my Delta card, but I honestly don't care anymore because the plan was always for me to move to the charge cards and into the MR points system. And I'll probably end up using the Platinum to buy my plane tickets anyway for 5X versus the 3X my Delta card pays. I am planning on downgrading it after the year is up as well.

Wells Fargo Propel +4k. While I was updating my spreadsheet I noticed I never added the Sapphire Preferred. With everything up to date my total personal credit limits adds up to exactly $250,000.00

Was buying some face cream & briefs and Macy's offered me an upgrade to their Amex card so I accepted.

Those cheap mofos at Cap1 have my DH another increase on his Savor One. It's definitely bucketed. We have had it nearly 2 years now, running tremendous amounts of money through it and paying in full. His scores could be better, but we are not impressed. We just got the AmEx Gold card so this is likely just going to be going into the sock drawer now.

This gives me hope as I did the same to Amex about the same time :D Congratulations!

Approved for Cap1 Quicksilver $3k. Hit up the the preapproval page on a whim one month into the cleaning and rebuilding process, and was very surprised!

Congrats! That was the first card I applied for when I was rebuilding and that was my credit limit. It shocked me, based on what I had read about Cap1’s CLs.

Decided to apply for a couple things since my DH finally got his TU file clean. These aren't bad considering his highest current limit is $5k. He has quite a few cards stuck at $1k, $2k, etc. He also has a BofA secured card right now and we are hoping to get it to graduate soon. In the meantime though, he has some other cards to use instead. I imagine this increase in his available credit will also be a huge score boost.

BECU Cash Rewards - $12.5k instant approval

Alliant Visa Signature - $5k instant approval

Elan Max Cash Preferred - Pending

I have to ask why you keep the Optima card. Is it for pure nostalgia? Or is there some unknown benefit to that card?

AmEx Cash Magnet -  $1,000 CLI bringing it to $2K

Discover - $2,500 CLI bringing it o $8,500

Clicked on the preapproval link and got approved for the AmEx Gold with no preset limit (but has a $5,000 Pay Over Time option I have no intentions of using 🙂).
