over covid i had lates on four trade lines. i called these banks today to see if they could remove the lates or give me addresses to their dispute department and to 'office of the president' or similar.

at capital one, a supervisor asked me if it was 'covid' related. i said 'yes'. she went ahead and processed three non-continuous lates and removed all 'deliquencies'

what does this mean? will it just get reported on time. or this will be an 'annotation' that says covid related and will have no impact on my credit score.

thank you in advance!

You can get your credit reports free from ACR every week through April of next year.  If you aren't looking at a credit report, you have no idea what's in your credit file.

Kredit Carma doesn't offer credit reports, they serve offer you advertising and they collect referral fees from partner companies for convincing you to sign up for credit products you don't need.

Your credit is way too important to rely on Kredit Carma for anything beyond entertainment.

That’s awesome. I did not know about ACRs offering. Thank you!

  • 2 weeks later...

Just to follow up on this thread I ended up faxing a goodwill letter to Capital One a week and a half ago and got a form letter back yesterday asking me for more details. Guess I'll have to give them back a handwritten response with all of the details they have requested plus copies of my original letter and their reply since this has been more productive than calling them already.

Why play games with handwritten letter?  Sit down at your computer, compose something and press print.  You are asking them for a favor.  Game playing should not even be on the horizon...
