westher0870
5 years ago I had a "Suspected Fraud" report on my Chexsystems from Chase after someone sent me a fake check. In 2016 this account closed and I was trying to open a new account at other banks, but kept getting denied due to the Chexsystems report. I sent in a dispute with a police report I had filed about the fake check, and the reported information was removed from Chex successfully. I had another issue with a fake check and I got reported for "Suspected Fraud" once more. I switched to an online bank with Current but it has limited features so I need to apply to a brick-and-mortar bank. I filed another police report and dispute and hope my information will be removed. tmcgill
1) What date were you reported to Chexsystems for the second check? 2) Have you requested a copy of that report? Also, there are numerous banking options if your Chex report is negative. Reply with your city and state for possible options in your area? westher0870
I was reported 12/14/20 for the second check and did request a copy of my report. This time it took only a week for Chexsystems to remove the information I disputed. Now my report is clear and I was able to open accounts with United Bank and Citizen's Bank. tmcgill
