Foreclosure dates clarification

My home was foreclosed upon in June of 2018.  However first recorded default date was Sept of 2013.  When does the actual 7 year clock start?  Is it first default date of 2013 or actual foreclosure date of 2018?

There is a world of difference in defaulting in 2013 and never again being current versus being delinquent at some point and again becoming current before the events giving rise to a foreclosure action.
