Wallethub Credit Score Simulator Accuracy

Can anyone confirm if the Wallethub Credit Score Simulator is reasonably accurate, say to +/- 10 points? Their FAQ says that they use vantageScore 3.0 with Transunion data. I have attached a screenshot of their FAQ, since they won't let you copy the text and it's not in their public FAQ.

 

I'm still trying to understand how to use @BobWang's fico spreadsheet.

It's usually accurate to within 372 or so for estimating the scores lenders use.

Wow...they've improved.  I remember when it was close +/- about 850.

More Accurate than Wallet Hub's score or simulator:

 

Now I do belong to Wallet Hub. Mostly to track when and what creditors report to TU.

Vantage Skores are garbage, which to me would make a Vantage Skore simulator even less useful than the skore itself.

Yep ... lots of snark.  Deservedly so, when you see the reverence with which some people treat their Vantage Scores.  They're truly worthless when it comes to any indication of what the FICO scores are against which your credit applications will be evaluated.

Some days half of what we do is attempt to undo the gross oversimplifications and plain misinformation that get shoveled at people year after year.  

 

In addition to ongoing misconceptions about Vantij Skores meaning much of anything, there are still a lot of people who would rather be disemboweled than have a meaningless inquiry show up so they can get a really useful credit product.
