Transunion Closed Tradelines

Recommended Posts

I get daily alerts from Transunion regarding 2 closed tradelines. Been getting alerts daily for about 6 months regarding tradelines that were closed in 2013. Closed in good standing, never late. Why? What could this mean?

What do the alerts say?

How does the trade line look on your paper report mailed directly to you from TransUnion?

Are we to chalk this one up as another mystery that will remain unsolved??  (Where's the Scooby gang when you need them ...)

Thanks!  I'd chalk this up to a TransUnion glitch.  It's possible that Citi is sending a daily update to TU on the account, but I expect that's unlikely.  In any case, there's nothing to be concerned about with regard to your credit standing.

Only thing you can do is try giving TU a call (or simply disabling text alerts).

ANY online monitoring service is little more than a shiny bauble.  This would hold true even if the monitoring service was provided by one of the bureaus.  The ONLY thing that matters is what something appears as on the actual paper report from the four major bureaus.

Despite the request having been made, there still has not been an indication as to how the account reports on an actual paper report.

I would be more concerned about the OTHER alert on the same day from them.
