Medical collections help

Recommended Posts

Hello, I have a medical collections debt from Wakefield and Associates of about $1900 on my credit report from a hospital stay that happened a couple of years ago. My question is can I still use why chats hippa law dispute process if I have already made a payment? I wasn't aware of this law and issued the CA one payment a year ago.

Thanks

If it is reporting as a paid collection, yes you can still use  the program;

https://whychat.me/GUIDE HIPAA PROGRAM.html

The initial dispute letter to the CRAs ;

https://whychat.me/hipaadisp.html

suggested phrasing;

I have no knowledge or records of the listed account.
Please advise me as to the name and address of the medical provider, the date and type of service,and to whom the service was provided, as any account I might have had may be obsolete.
If you can obtain this information, I also would need the name of the person providing this data, and the manner in which it was provided in order that I may pursue additional legal remedies

Would cover the data on any medical account reporting.

If it is verified then the medical DV to the reporting CA is different;

Thanks for responding Why Chat. Let me clarify what I wrote, I didn't pay off the collections in full. I made a one time payment of 50$ to the account. I was worried that in doing so, I validated the collections account on my report and therefore would not be able to use your method. So I guess my question is, would I be able to do your method, despite making a one time minimum payment on the account?

If it is reporting as a collection you can still use the program.What was the date of medical service?

(Unless you SIGNED an agreement of some kind when you paid the $50.)
