Nobody in LA pays $70k for a live-in nanny.  Everybody does what Arnold did -- hire an ICE escapee for $8 an hour.  Being able to impregnate them is just an extra added bonus.  


In Hong Kong, $50k will get you ten live-in nannies.  


In Beijing, $40k will get you fifteen. 


As for housing, In Beijing your average 100 m2 two-bedroom apartment in the non-elite sections of the city will cost you an easy $1m.  If you want anything in the upper 1% areas, you are looking at a minimum of $3 to $4m.  If you want a house in a good school district, $6m gets you a tiny slum flat.
