Have a weird one here. CA cannot locate my account.....

Recommended Posts

Hey everyone,

Have a small, like under 100$ small, medical collection I was just going to pay instead of disputing. Called them to get the full account number so I could note it on the cashiers check and they were unable to locate any account/amount associated with my name or ss#.

Kind of stumped on what to do now.

Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Is it possible that you could pay the medical provider directly?   I am not saying that is the best course of action, just asking you a question.

Follow the guides;

https://whychat.me/GUIDE HIPAA PROGRAM.html

Send each CRA where the account is reporting this;

It is more than likely that the reported "collection" is the result of a JDB (junk debt buyer) obtaining invalid account data from a data miner. You likely do not owe a dime to the facility. If you pay the reporting CA it will be reported as a paid collection and HURT your credit.

If you are SURE that you actually owe the facility anything and your dispute to the CRAs  works to get the account deleted, you can then (as a matter of conscience) pay the facility with the HIPAA letter insert "a".
