reopen wells fargo card?

Recommended Posts

I had a secured wells fargo credit card that I opened in 3/15/2016. The account was closed for non payment on 9/27/18. I did reage on 1/10/19 and I finally paid off the balance on 10/17/19. Should I contact wells and try to reopen the account or just leave things as they are? Im looking to raise my credit score.

By "did a reage," do you mean a Rule5000 adjustment?  Or was this simply an Agreement to resolve the matter?

Typically a Rule 5000 reaging does NOT involve a closure since the precise purpose OF the Rule is to keep the customer who has made the decision to step up and do the right thing by getting the account current.  That the Agreement sounds like it occurred AFTER closure suggest this was not a Rule 5000 adjustment...

Your best bet is to hope they approved a new application.  But since this was a secured account, it makes little sense to lock up funds on another secured product...
