Texas court upholds “do it on a computer” check-cashing patent USAA claims it invented a key feature of mobile check cashing.

I have an abstract idea worthy of a patent: Instead of taking pictures of checks to deposit, take pictures of the cash in your wallet to deposit. If the software determines you didn't take pictures of counterfeit currency, your account is credited.

This will be a big winner with customers. You read it here first. The courts should side with me.

Wells Fargo's lawyers will have a field day with this: abstract, obvious, and almost certainly prior art exists.  But it's always fun to see Wells Fargo get sued.
