Which company to refinance auto loan with?

I’ve had my auto loan with Santander Consumer for 6+ months. I want to refinance like the dealer suggested to lower my payments. I pay $650 monthly and it’s $612 due every month.

 

I have to confirm this information but I think the apr is at 17.05% & CL is $27,292.08

Have you done any research on Loan to Value?   Do you know your new prospective lender's way of calculating Loan To Value?

Who you should refinance with is about as open-ended as it gets.  Sometimes a bank will be the best option and sometimes a CU will be the best option.  YMMV is NOT just a car-related thing...

Try Capital One auto navigator , it's a soft pull,  as a starting point and look I to CUs from there. Depends heavily on LTV if you can refinance.

For future reference, this is a lie to get you to accept terms that aren't in your best interest (no pun intended).

 

DCU has a reputation for decent terms for less-then-decent credit.

 

Where are your scores today?  Is your credit better now than it was when you took this loan?
