I asked Equifax for my credit report and this happened

Recommended Posts

About a two weeks ago I mailed a letter to Equifax asking for a copy of my credit report as I do every year.

Quote

MY NAME IS XXX XXXX, SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER XXX-XX-XXXX, AND DATE OF BIRTH XX/XX/XX. ENCLOSED PLEASE FIND A COPY OF MY VALID XXX DRIVER'S LICENSE.

PLEASE SEND ME A COPY OF MY EQUIFAX CREDIT REPORT VIA US MAIL.

Apparently reading comprehension isn't their strong point. They replied back

Consumer dispute not specific. Consumer information verified. Account information updated: information on your report has been updated.

The results of our reinvestigation

We have reviewed the identification information. The results are: Your name is currently reporting correctly on your Equifax credit file. Name XXXXXXX, Ssn: XXX-XXX-XXXX Birthdate XX/XX/XXXX
We have reviewed your concerns and our conclusions are: Your social security number is currently reporting correctly on your Equifax credit file. Your date of birth is currently reporting correctly on your Equifax credit file.

Emphasis not mine.
