Forget gas and groceries—streaming services are the new trend in credit card rewards

Seriously, Bill Matrix is a third party payer with SDG&E and I was curious if you gained rewards paying utilities with USBank Cash. If not, which card did you use. Please, purty please....

Looks like cv confirmed as much on Apr 11.  (I'm pretty sure the screenshot is from USBank Cash +)

Thanks but hopefully CV will confirm or not.  A lot of comments about USBank Cash but I'm just not sure if he had the card already or not. Maybe another cc was used to get the rewards.

Gotcha.  Just saying that cv's screenshot, with the SDG&E entry matches my Cash+ cashback summary exactly.

Okay I reread the thread and see it. Thank you very much.

Hdporter do you think it's necessary to have an existing relationship I.e. checking acct with US Bank before I apply?

I had no prior relationship when I applied and was approved.  Ditto for Bev this month.

Actually, it's their premium cashback card product, Altitude Rewards, that at one time required an existing US Bank relationship to apply.  (An app for the card came up for me today without having to sign in first.)

Yes, that was from my Cash+ rewards history.  I'm not aware of another US Bank card that pays 5% cash back on anything.

Separately, the only card that requires an existing US Bank relationship is the Altitude Reserve.  https://www.usbank.com/credit-cards/premium-rewards-credit-cards.html  .

Doesn't have to be a banking (checking/savings) type of relationship.  My father got this card with just an active US Bank car lease.

100% of these rewards are from utilities and ISP charges.  I have all of our gas and electric for both homes prepaid through March-July of 2021.  I should probably stop for a while.  😛

I opened the Cash+ in 2014, but this is apparently the first time I let > $100 in rewards accumulate in my account.

From memory, this $25 bonus on a $100+ redemption is now once per lifetime.
