JPMorgan Chase Bank needs to recoup the $1.3 billion lost when their cocaine smuggling operation got busted by Customs & Border Protection and their 20 tons of cocaine got confiscated.  Since the cargo vessel, the MSC Gayane, owned by Chase, has been seized by CBP and federal prosecutors plan on keeping it, add an additional approximately $100 million to the tally.

Jamie Dimon is sure to ask for a pay raise, too, when the retail value of coke goes up.

Adios rewards.

No, because it's not close to factual information.  Two minutes of simple research show that JPMorgan doesn't even own the boat.  Clients of JPMorgan Asset Management are the owners.

More to the point, I don't see how this post has anything to do with CreditBoards.

I'll just leave the insults that you constantly hurl at people out of it.

Well, Jethro, you should tell your sources to contact the press and set them straight.  The report clearly states "The MSC Gayane is owned by JPMorgan Chase."

Then we have the The Wall Street Journal:

The MSC Gayane, which is owned by J.P. Morgan Asset Management and chartered to MSC, the world's second-biggest container ship operator by capacity, is "subject to possible forfeiture," U.S. Attorney William McSwain said in a statement.

So either you have some really great sources, or you are just another turd pulling stories out of their ass.

But who cares?  It's as interesting as many of the other weird posts that show up here on CB. And anybody but some Neanderthal like you would think it's to be taken seriously anyhow.  I bet you saw the post title and started getting cold sweats thinking you were losing your cashback on your $500 Chase Freedom card.

  • CTSoxFan changed the title to Chase to Slash Virtually All Credit Card Rewards?

Yeah, I'll go with "worst post" as well ... bring on the insults -- it's what you do.  (cute at first, but becomes tiresome very quickly).

No question ownership is by a Chase non-banking affiliate.  JP Morgan Chase won't be scrambling after cc reward crumbs to recoup anything.

Another critical thinker.  🙄

While I should have included a smiley face or some other clue in the thread title, I didn't imagine there were folks, other than the customary culprits, on CB that were r ... Ooops, can't use that word -- enough to think I was serious about Chase nerfing credit card rewards.

I'm going to set up a GoFundMe so you guys can afford psychological help.

Worst post ever.

Well at least it was not another one of those "drive-by" spam type posts here where there is NOTHING posted except for a lone URL! None of the other Forums that I subscribe to permit that nonsense.

And no paywall that we often find here.  😃

Although if after reading the first post folks are -- hmmm, what's the right word here ... -- enough to think I was serious, they are probably -- it's a struggle, Marv, it's a struggle -- enough to think I get paid for every click on the link.

Call me a 'tard; I'll wear it proudly when it's a badge endowed by you.  Given what flows into your posts, I believed you were in earnest.

I'm sorry to hear you believed that.

By the way, seriously, I have this huge box of cash that I have been hiding.  I'll share it with you if you just send me $2,457 for shipping and insurance.

So...a large box with next to no funds.  So typical...

(and no...~$2500 is not a large sum...it is less than some of the tourneys I enter)

Does it hurt when you think?  Ask your literacy volunteer next time to help you read for context.

The only way you would have $2,500 is if you saved your monthly food stamp allotments for 6 whole months.

"earnest" isn't a synonym for "credible" ...
