Upcoming Amex Green revamp

Recommended Posts

I'm patiently waiting to see what the AF will be, and if fuel will be 4x.

If the math is right, I will be turning in the fuel card for my company vehicle and going back to submitting receipts on my expense report for using my own card for fuel. I drive about 30k miles a year on the low end.

Shame that its only the first 30 days. Hotels and lodging does seem like a missed category for a multiplier on one of the charge products. Maybe an agreement with the 2 brands they have dedicated products for (hilton and Marriott)? If it was a perm change for the biz green Id be mildly hype.

Excited for the new personal already

omg, if this was only a physical redesign and not a rewards restructure....

I'm baffled right now, that they would show it without a relaunch page yet. So I guess there is still hope

If it was only a physical redesign they wouldn’t have pulled the card from the website.

This is almost certainly marketing hype because they are redoing the card.

100% guaranteed that anyone who uses the word "reclaimed" is a tool.

It's right up there with "sustainable."

I think those words were uttered by the numbnuts hanging from the bridge the other day...for those in the group that still had them, the term is likely literal and figurative (and yes, they DID have quite the collection of snowflake millennials screwing up traffic in the port area).

Is it just me, or does it seem odd to have the new green card being advertised as "more earth friendly" to have a gas multiplier on it? Maybe I'm just being weird or stupid

I will not be virtue signaling with a "green" Green card.

But it will look so cute ... along with that pink flowered jacket your grandmother gave you.

I wonder if the Japanese will find extra value in the included straw at auction?

I think most people are considering surface area, not total volume, of the oceans when talking about pollution since plastic floats.

But AMEX using recycled plastic for a card is nothing more than a marketing gimmick.

I couldn’t care less what it’s made out. Give me free Amazon Prime and 4x on gas and I’ll get it. And if it is 4x on gas, my using a card made from recycled plastic would be rather ironic since I buy 100-150 gallons of gas every other weekend from October to May.

Wait a minute...how do we know that wasn't just a turtle with a coke habit?  We cannot label it a 'problem' because we don't really know if the habit is impacting quality of life...and we don't want to stigmatize the poor thing.

Just a question. When Amex took down the gold for it's revamp, how long was it gone for? I just kinda expected to see something of substance by now...

Amex is updating the Delta family of cards

Looks like a 2x multiplier for food, groceries, and hotels added to some cards, and a change to skyclub access etc.

Overhauling everything after the success of the new gold card?

Just got the e-mail today on Delta Platinum:

Restaurants & Supermarkets: 2 miles

Hotels & Delta purchases: 3 miles

Global Entry

Increased fee for Sky Club entrance: $39 (from #29)

Miles Boost nerfed

And, of course, the AF increases from $195 to $250.

Time to downgrade to gold.

EDIT: Just heard that they may have eliminated the Sky Priority benefit.  If so, I'm going to downgrade to Blue.
