Never. The account has long since been written off and any payment you make to them will either be returned or will go into their general accounts. Once your reports are clean you can, if you wish, make a contribution to one of the charities listed at the bottom of my website.

That is for accounts that are relatively recent where the date of service is less than 2 years old (that is the usual cutoff date for HC providers to migrate records from their active files to their archives) AND when the HIPAA letter program has documented a CURRENT BUSINESS RELATIONSHIP between the reporting CA and the OC.
