New card application denied. (lack of info)

Recommended Posts

I applied for a Citi card and was rejected do to "lack of information" according the letter they mailed.  I have no idea why because I filled it out completely.  I called Citi and after a long wait they told it was showing that I applied out of the country on their end. I did it from Houston and I do not have a VPN. She recommended that I apply again.  She also told me that they will do another "hard pull" on my report.  Any suggestions on how to get around them dinging my credit again? It has been about 15 days after the first pull.   thank you

inquiries don't matter so don't fret about another pull.

which card was this for? which number did you call? did you try to the one in the "backdor" numbers thread?

Counting the one from Saturday, I have 7 on Experian.

I could have 72,000 inquiries.  It doesn't matter.

Call one of the backdoor numbers or you can reach out to the executive office.  Either should be able to help without requiring the additional inquiry.
