Strange Reponse From TU Initial Dispute Letter

Recommended Posts

Hello Why Chat

Today I received my response from TU after my initial dispute letter. Based on my credit report I have 3 medical collections that were in the initial dispute letter.

The response from TU states:

"After reviewing your dispute request, we found that information you disputed does not currently appear on your TransUnion credit report. It's possible that information was updated before we received your report or it was reported by one of the other credit reporting companies"

Today I request another credit report from "annualcreditreport" and 2 of the 3 accounts were deleted; yet one account still remains. Based on TU's response it seems that nothing adverse was located on my reports but one account still remains. Would I need to:

1. Resend the Initial Dispute letter for this one account?

2. Write a letter to TU explaining that by your letter nothing should be reporting as an adverse account?

3. Send a Medical Dispute Verification letter to the CA

Send a Medical Dispute Verification letter to the CA

Then send TU the follow up dispute

TU is infamous for it's garbled responses. It is best to keep on track with the program so that you have a good paper trail in case they do not delete so you can file a complaint.

I don't see your initial post on the subject. Have you been following the WHOLE program?

Was TU the only report that had these accounts??

Thank you Why Chat!

I have had no issues with the other bureaus in responding or following up. The method is working great for the other two. TU just had a weird response. I will follow up with the CA and then send TU a follow up dispute and let you know of the results.

Thank you!!
