I wonder if he had to go number one or number two.

The only restrooms besides the ones at home where I will go number two are:

  • Inside the Centurion Lounge at DFW (always clean, and the stall doors go from floor to ceiling);

  • Just outside the Zodiac Restaurant inside Neiman Marcus at Fashion Valley Mall in San Diego, and then only on Sunday because the restaurant is closed and I have the place all to myself.

This past Saturday, I didn't go as so far as to drop a deuce at Neiman Marcus, but did one hell of a fine job of crop dusting a majority of the store. My best crop dusting was last fall, at the Apple Store. I can honestly say, I may have been the only one in history to clear out an Apple Store.

It clearly was NOT an emergency situation given that, even without a line, it would have taken longer to get checked in and TO the bathroom than to have *gasp* used a public restroom off of the concours...

Sadly, this seems more of a DYKWIA situation that makes other Plats look over-entitled.

Last time I visited the Zodiac was right after I knocked over a display of margarita mix at Williams-Sonoma.

I wish my friend Josh hadn't moved away.  We used to go to BevMo and pick up vodka minis and take them to the mall and mix them with lemonade from the food court.  Your Apple Store anecdote would have been an inspiration for some drunk retailing.

+ The private rooms at the Qantas Lounge at LHR.

+ The private rooms with private showers at the Flagship Lounge at LAX.  You'll never leave an airport restroom after taking a dump any cleaner.

hey big spender...

BA AMEX Card Cancelled because of too many disputes

My card was cancelled with no warning due to number of disputes over last six years. I was told 31 but that figure is incorrect as there have been many duplicate disputes for same transaction raised by their own team. Dispute amounts were very small and I have never claimed insurance. Over the Christmas, I had my first major two disputes of over 1K and over 2K respectively. I am a big spender and spend over 20K a year paying all my bills in full on time. I intend to appeal and wonder if anyone has been in similar boat?

I've been to La Guardia Airport, but not recently.  Did they remove all the public restrooms (I don't think so)?  If so, where does one go when they need to take a dump?  Aren't the regular terminal toilets good enough for this person?  I doubt writing the American Express CEO got him very far.

If you're looking for the cleanest public restrooms, travel to Dubai.  When I went there, there always seemed to be at least one employee on duty in every public restroom.  They quickly clean the toilet stall after each use.  I'm not kidding.   Also, in many middle eastern countries, there's a hose bidet next to each toilet.  I don't know if it's totally true, but I've read a certain percentage of people from other countries, like the U.S., think that's a drinking fountain.  It is not.  😕
