Barclays needs a good azz-fooking as does Airbnb.

Airbnb sucks. Barclays screwed her too. IPs are no proof with services like ExpressVPN. I've never used or had an account with Airbnb so I'm safe from that company.

Yup, good old ExpressVPN.

 

Both Airbnb and Barclays were turds in this issue.  They deserve to get FITA.

 

I used Airbnb once.  It was ok.  At the time, though, I didn't realize they were such a-holes.

This probably would have been a lot easier to resolve if she had tried to fix this with Airbnb first,  since she had an account with them.

On the nose.  Never try to resolve a problem through an intermediary when you have the opportunity to work things out with the source.

 

In a similar vein, I think it best to first try and resolve credit reporting inaccuracies directly with the reporting creditor rather than file a CRA dispute.

 

I understand the appeal (and some of the advantages) of filing a CRA dispute.  However, you're your own best advocate when it comes to working with the creditor to resolve erroneous information reported by them to the CRA's..
