paying more than my car payment each month help or hurt my credit?

I have a loan on a new Tesla. My payments are 650/month on a 72 month loan. However, I have been paying 3-5k each month in an attempt to pay the loan off as soon as possible. I am on track to pay it off by the end of the year. The overpayment is going to principal only saving me interest. Is it harming my credit to be paying this much every month? Next month I was planning to pay up to 10k,

my most recent auto loan was PIF within 40 days of it being funded.


pay it off and let FICO be damned. the only real (minor) hit you might see is the small impact if this is your only installment loan.
