I opened a credit card account with a boyfriend several months ago in both of our names. We’re no longer dating, and I was wondering if I can get my name off the account.

Rule #1 if your not married do not open joint accounts with them. (I personally wouldn't even do it if married) 

 

Close the account! Good standing or not. They can run the card up and leave you stuck for the balance. I've seen it happen many many times.
