If the 4x4 system allowed one to run with an open front, you could potentially do like with the twin-sticks of days long gone and have a 2L range... hegemony

Bad Doctor Frost
My car has a 3.0L Supercharged V6. My buddy has a car with the same engine. He has an aftermarket intake that allows for a supercharger whine that makes my pants fit tighter. Part of me wants to do the same, but another part of me thinks it doesn't fit the image of my car. Then there's another part of me that thinks a 500hp supercharged stealth grandpa sedan is hilarious. Maybe I'm growing up a little. hegemony
the shift by so many manufacturer to 4 cyl w. turbo has ruined me for many brands. I can't stand the uneven acceleration when a turbo kicks in. I'd rather have an electric car than a 4cly w/ turbo. MarvBear

And that is why I tend to snap them up as I find them...four of the current six have three pedals. The article also missed one of the good uses besides being the millennial anti-theft device that allows you to park your own car in the close-in valet spots...on the occasions where one finds a slightly inclined driveway covered in ice, one can still get out of the parking lot with a gentle slipping of the clutch in 2nd or 3rd gear. The nanny programming in most modern slushboxes would never let that occur.

TheVig
File this one away in the "lazy arse / man-card revocation folder". Battery on our 2001 Dodge Ram truck died. I priced AAA vs getting one at the neighborhood national chain store- doing it myself. I let AAA come to my domicile and do it. AAA was only $3 more vs doing it myself. hegemony and MarvBear 1

Oh, and the State mandatory fee of $1.50 related to new battery sales.

StarkRaven$
/\ /\ /\ Above before and after photos of our freshly painted '95 Dodge Ram 1500. That model year had the worst factory paint jobs but the truck has always been mechanically sound. Ram has only 116K miles on it. For years I kept a truck cover over it because of the rust eye sore.
